02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To further the study and exposition of the Gaelic language and musical tradition, by the' practice, performance and promotion of Gaelic, vocal and choral music in the District of Skye and Lochalsh, and elsewhere.(2) To advance the education of the local communities in the Parishes of Strath and Lochalsh, in the District of Skye and Lochalsh, by providing and contributing suitable educational facilities for the learning, interpretation and production of Gaelic vocal and choral music (3), To foster and encourage participation in the National and Provincial Mods and other musical festivals by members of the local communities in Skye and Lochalsh (4) To apply such funds, both capital and income, as may become available to the Choir from time to time, in the furtherance of the foregoing objects and for such other purposes consonant therewith as shall be deemed by law to be charitable.

Constitutional objectives
