02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Glasgow Action for Pensioners aims to improve the quality of life for older people in Glasgow by addressing issues such as poverty, isolation, and access to essential services. We provide practical support, advocacy, and information to pensioners, ensuring they are aware of their rights and entitlements. Our services include offering advice on financial support, and connecting individuals to health and social care services. We work closely with local authorities, community organisations, and volunteers to promote a more inclusive, supportive environment for elderly residents, helping them remain independent and engaged in their communities.
