02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Also known as the McLean of Oa Trust, this body is a discretionary trust set up in 1930 following the death of the Rev. Donald McFadyen Mclean. His wishes were that pensioners in need in the Parish of Oa on Isla should benefit from income arising from a legacy bequeathed by him. On the last occasion of funds being distributed, the Kildalton and Oa Action Development Association were instrumental in fulfilling this role.
