02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We hold club meetings once a month participating in the various activities listed below and committee meetings once a month where with discuss upcoming meetings and also plan and prepare for future events in our syllabus. Agricultural Education: Held farm walks, stock judging, and crop competitions. Skills Development: Hosted speech making training, arts & crafts, and sports competitions. Community Service: Helped local farms throughout the summer with silage pit coverings, assisted with car parks at the Halkirk Highland Games

Constitutional objectives

To advance the education and training of young people at large in rural issues, agriculture, homecrafts and related subject To advance the development of active citizens through development of individuals involvement within their local community and leadership of their Young Farmer Group. In the interests of social welfare of young people in rural Scotland provide and promote the provision of activities for recreation and other leisure time occupations which will improve their conditions of life and will assist in the development of their spiritual and mental capacities and self reliance and individual responsibility.
