02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide opportunities for Christian worship and teaching for both adults and children though our regular Sunday services and other midweek events, and we provide pastoral support to those seeking it. We provide support for our local community by hosting a community drop in & lunch group, a mother & toddler group and collaborating with another charity to host an addiction support service. Staff members provide supportive input to some local schools and (in collaboration with other churches in the locality) to the local women’s prison. We collaborate with other Christian Fellowships in the Maryhilll area both in combined religious worship services and in community support events (eg contributing to the local food Bank and provision of a Warm Space location) We make our building available to partner charities to host occasional large events. We provide regular support to some other UK registered charities undertaking Christian Work and International Relief.
