02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Charity was set up to pay and apply its funds in furtherance of charitable purposes as noted on page 1 of our annual accounts. The Trustees decided to establish guidelines in dealing with request for donations.. The Trustees do look out for suitable charities, but the majority of applicants are reviewed by the Secretary and if their activities fall within the guidelines the applications are passed to the Chairman of the Trustees. Typically, the Trustees meet on at least two occasions each year but urgent applications can be considered by Trustees between meetings. The Chairman and the Secretary keep in regular contact. The Trustees require that all who benefit from the Trust to report to them in writing on how these funds were used and the benefit to them. Future support is only provided if a satisfactory report is received.
