02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To promote the benefit of the community in Hawkhill by the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, sickness and distress, in particular, but not exclusively, the users of Hawkhill Community Centre, we do this by offering events and activities which help promote good mental and physical health, e.g gardening, social groups, inviting partners to deliver their services. To Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Hawkhill and surrounding neighbourhood by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving life of the said inhabitants, we run social events, such as fun days, bingo teas, social lunches which we invite other organisations and statutory bodies along to.

Constitutional objectives
(a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Hawkhill and environs by associating the Local Authorities, voluntary organisations, and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. (b) To secure the establishment of a Community Centre and to co-operate with the Local Statutory Authority in the maintenance and management of the Centre, for the activities promoted by the Association in the furtherance of the above objects or any of them. (c) The Association shall be non-party in politics and non-secretarian in religion.
