02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
FARE Scotland is a charity based in the east-end of Glasgow who aim to raise the hopes and aspirations of the people with whom we work with. We provide opportunities for local people to become more engaged in their communities, working with them to drive the development of our community-based services thus creating a platform for them to develop the skills and voices they need in order to positively change communities for the good of all local people. Through our community support and development activities, health and wellbeing sessions and our dedicated employability services, we aim to be a catalyst for change across disadvantaged communities in Central Scotland. Our main vision is to provide targeted services that enhance the lives of the people in the communities we serve whilst also enabling these communities to thrive and be free from the effects of social challenges such as poverty and social isolation.

Constitutional objectives
6 The company's objects are to promote the welfare of the inhabitants of Central Scotland, without distinction of sex, politics, or religion, by the provision of facilities for the social education, sport, welfare and recreation of individuals and families. 7 The company's objects are restricted to those set out in article 6 (but subject to article 8). 8 The company may (subject to first obtaining the consent of OSCR) add to, remove or alter the statement of the company's objects in article 6. on any occasion when it does so, it must give notice to the registrar of companies and the amendment will not be effective until that notice is registered on the register of companies.
