Constitutional objectives

(i) To provide moderate comfort and attendance for persons resident in Greenock or in the Parishes of Inverkip and Port Glasgow labouring under incurable disease or others who though not incurable may require months or years of nursing and treatment and are incapable of earning a livelihood. (ii) To acquire, hold and, when they become unnecessary, dispose of, heritable property and other assets wholly for the benefit of The Greenock Medical Aid Society of Glenfield, 1 Bedford Street, Greenock. (iii) To act as a charitable organisation within Scotland, to provide within the Inverclyde Community facilities for the care and wellbeing of the sick and infirm. to purchase, equip and maintain residential homes and nursing homes and to employ professional advisers and workers in connection with the objects of the Company and to pay reasonable and proper remuneration for such services.
