02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants and neighbourhood of Colintraive without distinction of political, religious or other opinions. This includes use for meetings, lectures, films, classes and other recreation, social gatherings with the objective of improving conditions for said residents.

  • the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended

Constitutional objectives

The physical and mental training and recreational, and social, moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading rooms, library, lectures, classes, study and practice of handicrafts and the fine arts, or as otherwise maybe found expedient of the inhabitants of Colintraive, Glendaruel and Loch Striven Head without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions subject to the provisions of these presents.
