02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are a member of the Church of Scotland which is Trinitarian in doctrine, reformed in tradition and Presbyterian in polity. We exist to glorify God and to seek for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom throughout the world.. We co-operate with other Churches in various ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond. We hold religious services on a Sunday and Wednesday to which all are welcome. We take part in many local events and being situated in the centre of town have a considerable presence in the local communtity. We also operate and extremely successful Nursery School which provides an outreach to the local area and is open to all religions. Our Kirk Session oversees the religious and pastoral needs of the congregation.
