What the charity exists to do
The objects for which the Trust is established are principally to maintain the historic integrity of Galloway House Gardens at Garlieston to promote and encourage public access and make use of the grounds for the purposes of recreation and leisure, for the benefit, enjoyment and social welfare of the public.

Constitutional objectives
The objects for which the Trust is established are to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation for the benefit of the public and in particular to secure the establishment, maintenance and management of the Galloway House Gardens at Garlieston, Wigtownshire for recreational and other purposes for the benefit and enjoyment of the public and the Trustees shall hold the Trust fund at their sole discretion to make grants, loans or payments out of the income or capital of the Trust Fund for these objects or any of them or for such other purpose or purposes charitable in law as the Trustees shall from time to time determine.
