What the charity exists to do
to record the local history of the people of Greater Govan area.. To encourage cultural and educational pursuits among the local people. To establish a permanent museum within the area. To raise funds for the group by such means as the trustees deem appropriate.

Constitutional objectives
(a) record the popular memory of working and social life in an organised manner to save an important historical source. (b) record this memory as quickly as possible given the dwindling numbers of people who can re-call the inter war period and before. (c) collect these recordings together into an archive which can be used for educational purposes. (d) establish a permanent museum within the area. (e) promote awareness of the importance of the elderly and their reminiscences in our society.
