02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our church exists to advance the Christian faith through worship, prayer, fellowship, pastoral care and service to the wider community. We provide regular opportunities for Christian worship and learning, as well as support and fellowship for people of all ages. An important part of our work is serving the local community. We have two suites of halls which are used not only for church activities but are also made available to community groups, organisations and local people for a wide range of social, educational, recreational and community activities. Through our worship, pastoral care, community activities and the use of our buildings, we aim to provide a welcoming and supportive place where people can meet, build relationships, reduce isolation and participate in community life. Our church and halls are intended to be a resource for the whole community, not only those who attend worship.
