Constitutional objectives
1. The awarding of educational travel scholarships to members of the rural community in Scotland of both sexes under the age of Thirty years (but with absolute discretion to the Trustees to award scholarships to candidates of Thirty years of age and over if and when it may seem to them appropriate to do so), provided always that those to whom scholarships are awarded shall have either practical or academic qualifications in agriculture or both, preference being given to candidates having a sound practical basis of experience in agriculture which can be beneficialy extended by travel to the end that on return they will be able to use the experience gained in travel in a practical way. 2. Such other charitable purposes and such charitable foundations associated or connected with agriculture in Scotland as the trustees shall, in their absolute discretion, determine.
