02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Formed in 1973, we are responsible for the day to day operating of The Glenburn Centre, a community facility consisting of a Café, IT Suite, large Multi-Use Hall and various smaller rooms used for a diverse range of activities, meetings and specialist sessions We deliver projects with the purpose of: • Increasing Health and Wellbeing • Reducing loneliness and risks of isolation • Supporting Employment, volunteering, and Skills Development • Tackling Food Poverty • Promoting Active Community Engagement and active partnerships We provide projects directly targeting: • Children, Young People and their families • Individuals with Additional Support Needs • Older People • Young Adults (predominantly male 18-40)

Constitutional objectives
The Association's objects are: To promote the benefit of the residents of Greater Easterhouse and surrounding area without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local authorities, voluntary corporate bodies and residents in common effort to advance education, relieve poverty and to provide facilities in the interest of the social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
