02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Provision of playgroup sessions three times a week, led by a playgroup leader with the support of one other staff member and a duty parent. The sessions are available to pre-school children in the village of Kippen offering outdoor play and utilising local indoor facilities. We also run a regular toddler session attended by toddlers with parents. Sessions are paid for by parents. To make sessions affordable, the group's finances are supplemented by fundraisers, predominantly our annual Christmas market and our raffle stall at the Kippen Street fayre.

Constitutional objectives
The aim of the group is to promote the aims of the Scottish Pre-school Association which are to advance the education of pre-school children with the emphasis on play experience, so that they may take a constructive place in the community and also to advance the education of their parents and other appropriate persons.
