Constitutional objectives
To promote, maintain, improve and advance public education and to stimulate and educate public interest in the study, practice and knowledge of the Arts in Scotland for the benefit of the community by establishing facilities in Scotland whereby activities of a musical, literary, artistic, cultural and educational nature can be undertaken including without prejudice to this generality orchestral, instrumental, vocal and choral concerts and performances, rehearsals, library facilities, meetings, lectures, study circles and similar activities connected with music of all kinds as are conducive to the promotion, maintenance, improvement and advancement of education and to the encouragement of interest in the Arts provided that all of the objects of the Society shall be exclusively charitable.
