Constitutional objectives

3.1 advance education, in particular (but without prejudice to the foregoing generality) by the provision of a day and/or boarding school(s) or college(s) in Scotland and/or at other such place or places whether in the United Kingdom or any other country worldwide as the Governors may think fit from time to time. and also by, for example, contributing to national curriculum development, the development of examination materials, and by assisting with the marking of national examinations. 3.2 advance citizenship or community development, by, for example (but without prejudice to the foregoing generality), the encouragement of volunteering and the promotion of other Charitable Institutions. the promotion of civic responsibility. the creation and sustenance of partnerships with local schools. the establishment of links with and the provision of assistance to projects with Charitable Purposes in developing countries. and by providing public benefit to the community through participation in national sports coaching, educational committees, and the Children's Panel (or any successor or equivalent body). 3.3 advance health. public participation in sport. the arts and culture. by, for example (but without prejudice to the foregoing generality), the provision of facilities, including sporting, art or other facilities, for the School and , where appropriate, for members of the public or sections thereof on such preferential terms as the Board of Governors may agree. and 3.4 promote such similar Charitable Purposes as the Board of Governors shall think fit in connection with the School.
