Constitutional objectives

The object of the Society shall be to promote and maintain an interest in all types of self-propelling engines and vehicles other than those running on rails. to further the knowledge and aid the study of self-propelling engines and vehicles other than those running on rails. It will also encourage any moves to preserve portable and stationary engines, to such an extent as the Committee shall decide. To further this object the Society may use such methods as may from time to time appear expedient, and in particular, may: a) Promote the compilation of complete records and the collection of catalogues, drawings, photographs and literature relating to such engines. b) Edit and publish Periodicals, Books and other literature dealing therewith. c) Encourage the preservation and formation of collections of engines, parts, accessories and accurate models thereof. d) Encourage the preservation of other historical vehicles and machinery. e) Arrange public exhibitions, lectures and rallies.
