02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The objectives of the charity are to support charitable and educational organisations and research projects across three priority areas - health, youth and heritage. The charity is willing to support all areas of health and healing including complementary and alternative medicine. It also supports development for young people especially those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The Charity supports artistic and cultural heritage especially the built environment. This is done by inviting applicants to apply via the Barcapel website and the Board of Trustees meet twice a year to discuss the applications and decide on the distribution of grants across each of the three priority areas.
