02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

With support from local authorities and residents, the Blairgowrie and District Freedom Coach Association aims to improve the quality of life for the disabled and/or elderly inhabitants of the area by providing specialised transport for local trips and outings. The use of a wheelchair-accessible coach allows the aforementioned sector of the community the chance to enjoy a number of social and practical opportunities which would otherwise be unavailable to them.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 to acquire, maintain and operate specialised transport for the benefit of the elderly and/or disabled inhabitants of Blair gowrie and District. 4.2 to associate with Local Authorities, other Voluntary Organisations and with local inhabitants who have an interest in improving the quality of life of the aforementioned elderly and/or disabled.
