02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Church is a welcoming place, for the community, with our Sunday Service and Evening Services, Young Church, Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals. The Centre is a thriving place for all ages, through various groups that are run by volunteers. We have groups for children from birth to teenagers, Bibs and Burps & Little Stars, Kidzone/Youthzone, Guides, Parent and Toddler, Richmond Hope Child Bereavement Charity. For adults we have, Andy's Man Club, The Guild, Bible Study, Bereavement Support, Knit and Natter, Rainbow Group for people with Dementia, Connect which is a friendship group. During the year we have a number of events, Gala Day, Christmas Fayre, Afternoon Teas, Theme Nights. Our Annual Christmas Gift Appeal,, where we donate gifts, food, toys, games, toiletries to support local families through Schools and the Foodbank. At Easter we had an Appeal for toiletries and foodstuff for the residents of 3 local Care Homes. All the groups are set up for support and friendship.
