02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Springholm Nursery was established to meet a clear local need for high-quality, affordable early learning and childcare within the Springholm community. The nursery was set up as a community-based, not-for-profit service with the primary purpose of benefiting children and families, rather than generating profit. Its aims are to provide a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively, while supporting parents and carers to access employment, training and education. Springholm Nursery also seeks to strengthen community connections, work in partnership with local services and ensure all children are given the best possible start in life, regardless of background or circumstance.
