02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Carse of Gowrie Kirk (Church of Scotland) was formed through a union of congregations of Abernyte Parish Church of Scotland (SC007847), Inchture and Kinnaird Parish Church of Scotland (SC009839), Invergowrie Parish Church of Scotland (SC009454) and Longforgan Parish Church of Scotland (SC012230) as at 1 January 2025. Carse of Gowrie Kirk seeks to live out its calling by nurturing relationships with God, with one another and with the wider community, as it shares in the worship and mission of the Church of Scotland. The congregation aims to be a welcoming Christian presence across the parish, offering opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore faith, worship together and share life in practical and meaningful ways. Ministry is expressed through meeting people where they are, whether individually or in groups, in formal worship or informal settings, and both in person and online.
