02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
It exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom throughout the world. This is achieved through weekly services. The trustees meet five times a year receiving reports from various sub-committees who report on Finance, Property and other groups as deemed appropriate. These Committees are selected from the list of Trustees based upon their individual knowledge and experience. Reporting is standardised to an ongoing action plan to ensure consistency and provide a clear traffic light indicator as to progress achieved. The Finance and Property committees meet on a regular basis in line with the full Trustee meetings and are provided with Management Accounts to compare to Budget and Property operating to a rolling programme of appropriate repairs and refurbishments. In addition the Church premises are used throughout the week by Church children’s organisations we also have hall rentals who use the halls on a regular basis. The halls are also used for voting.
