The constitutional aims and objectives of the church are defined locally as: ? the advancement of the Christian faith, in particular through public worship, the preaching of the Bible, the administration of the sacraments, supporting ministries that are apostolic in faith and practice, and encouraging holy living, Christian fellowship and service to others. ? the prevention or relief of poverty by engaging in activities that advance the care, feeding, clothing, shelter, equality and justice of the poor, oppressed and marginalised, particularly in, but not limited to, the east end of Glasgow. and ? the advancement of education, particularly in respect of biblical principles and ethics.
