02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Kyle Public Hall is a community facility, run by volunteers for the benefit of primarily the residents of Kyle and surrounding area, but available also to wider members of the public. We welcome people of all ages and abilities. It provides a space for a range of activities, many based on fitness and wellbeing, as well as different social events, catering for groups of varying sizes. It is a focus for community life, providing a safe space to meet and interact.

Constitutional objectives

The said subjects and buildings erected or to be erected thereon hereinafter referred to as 'the trust subjects' are dedicated and shall be held by the said trustees and their successors in all time coming for the purposes of physical and mental recreation and spiritual, social, moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms, library, lectures, classes, recreations and entertainment or otherwise as may be found expedient for the inhabitants of the Village of Kyle and its immediate vicinity without distinction of sex or of political or other opinions, subject to the provision of these presents, but no alcoholic liquor ever to be sold or consumed on the premises.
