Shetland Churches Council Trust

Constitutional objectives

The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income thereof to pay, apply or lend the same in their absolute discretion in furtherance of any of the following objects each and all being for the advancement of Christianity for the benefit of the Shetland community: (a) to strive to enable those Christian congregations in Shetland who wish to participate in the Shetland Churches Council to cooperate in using their resources, both human and material, more effectively in working for the extension of Christian Knowledge and experience, in playing a corporate part in influencing and changing society and in worship. (b) for such other purpose or purposes charitable in law as the Trustees shall from time to time determine: Declaring that such grants or loans may be made on such terms and subject to such conditions as the Trustees may think fit and in the case of loans with or without security and upon such terms as to interest, if any, and repayment as the Trustees in their sole discretion think proper.
