02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity was initially set up to provide affordable childcare for children aged 2-5 to allow working parents to go back to work. We do this by ensuring that priority is given to working parents, and we operate for 48 weeks of the year.

Constitutional objectives
The aim of the Nursery is allied to the aim of the Scottish Pre-School Playgroup Association, which is to advance the education of pre-school children so that they may take a constructive place in the community, and also the education of their parents, and in furtherance of that aim, (a) to provide safe and satisfying group play both with and without parents and in which parents may take part when appropriate. (b) to encourage further charitable activities through which parents may help the children.
