02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To provide accommodation for recreation, social, moral and intellectual development for the residents of Hatton and the surrounding district. This currently consists of the Hall, the Playing Field and All-Weather Pitches. We provide accommodation for the following local organisations, Playgroup, Stay & Play (a parent and toddler group), Brownies, Rainbows, Highland Dancers, Senior Citizens, SWI, Hatton Area Residents Association (HARA), Hatton Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS), and the Faith Baptist Church group.

Constitutional objectives

The said subjects shall be held by the Trustees thereof to provide, in the interests of social welfare facilities, for recreation or other leisure time occupation for the inhabitants of Hatton District and environs with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants, said Hatton District and environs lying in the County of Aberdeen (which district for the purposes of these presents shall be that district within a radius of Two miles of the present Public Hall in the Village of Hatton in the County of Aberdeen and is hereinafter referred to as 'the Hatton District') without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions subject to the provisions of these presents.
