02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We exist to glorify God for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom throughout the world. As part of a National Church Haddington Parish at St Mary's has been a place of worship for over 700 years and it acknowledges a distinct call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to the people in every parish of Scotland through territorial ministry. It co-operated with Other Church in various ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond. We achieve this through worship, music and sharing our lived history and journey with Christ with The Lamp of Lothian continuing to shine brightly, welcoming pilgrims on life's journey.
