02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We employ a minister (known as the Rector) to provide support and spiritual guidance in the tradition of the Scottish Episcopal Church in Montrose. We openly welcome all who join us in church and regularly organise worship and community events as a foundation for pastoral work and involvement in serving our wider community.

Constitutional objectives
The Charge is established for exclusively charitable purposes, primarily for the advancement of religion and to provide public benefit. (The expression 'charitable purposes' shall mean a charitable purpose as defined in section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment Scotland) Act 2005 as amended from time to time ('the 2005 Act') which is regarded as a charitable purpose in relation to the application of the Taxes Act from time to time in force.)
