02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The aim of the group is to advance the education and social development of pre-school children with the emphasis on the play experience, so that they take a constructive place in the community and also to provide support to the carers of such children. We are a baby and toddler group catering for pre-school children in general but mainly those under three years old (pre-nursery). We supply valuable friendship and support for the parents, grandparents and carers that bring children to the group. We provide opportunities for young children to develop and socialise. There is a good selection of toys for the children and babies with free play the general ethos. We provide a variety of crafts (painting, drawing, gluing) and messy play activities (dough and tactile play). We usually end each session with a short sing song and a run about.

Constitutional objectives
Objects 2. The aim of the group is to advance the education and social development of pre-school children with the emphasis on the play experience, so that they take a constructive place in the community and also to provide support to the carers of such children. In furtherance of the above aims the group shall seek: (a) to provide safe and satisfying group play where the carers can participate in order to improvethe physical and intellectual development of the children and strengthen the relationship between carer and child. (b) to encourage other charitable activities through which the parents may support the development of children.
