Constitutional objectives
The Association's objects are:- 3.1 The education of the public in agricultural matters including the holding of shows for the exhibition of livestock, poultry, farm produce, horticulture produce, arts and crafts, also of machinery, implements, tools, appliances, utensils etc connected with or pertaining to agriculture and horticulture. 3.2 The improvement of agriculture, of agricultural produce and stock, of domestic animals and of implements, machinery and appliances in connection with agriculture including promoting discussion, advancement of knowledge of agriculture and activities relating thereto to the general public. 3.3 Such other activities connected with improvement, assistance, promotion and education of agriculture as may be approved of from time to time by the members. 3.4 To acquire and take over the whole or any part of the undertaking and liabilities of any person entitled to any property or rights suitable for any of the objects of the Association. 3.5 To purchase, sell, lease, hire, take in exchange, dispose or licence, improve, manage, exploit, develop or otherwise deal in any manner or way, property and rights for the purpose of the Association. 3.6 To borrow money and give security for the payment of money by, or the performance of other obligations of, the Association or any other person. 3.7 To draw, make accept, endorse, discount, negotiate, execute and issue cheques, promissory notes, bills of exchange, bills of lading, warrants, debentures and other negotiable or transferable instruments.
