02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The aim of the charity is to aid education, particularly of pupils of Dundee High School. The Trustees aim to improve the education of all pupils, particularly by providing facilities which could not otherwise be afforded. Grants are made after the School puts forward suggestions of relevant projects and priorities.

Constitutional objectives
At such time or times as the Trustees consider suitable they shall apply the High School of Dundee Trust Appeal in such manner and to such extent as they consider to be for the advancement of the purposes of the High School of Dundee Provided Always that not more than a three-twentieth part of the capital of the High School of Dundee Trust Appeal shall at any time during its existence be applied in (a) the purchase of land to be used for the purposes of the High School of Dundee or (b) in the erection, alteration, improvement, extension, renewal, repair, decoration or equipment of any buildings or playing fields occupied or used or intended to be occupied or used for the purposes of the High School of Dundee.
