02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To assist persons under 30, through grants, travel awards etc., who would benefit therefrom particularly in the fields of agriculture and the like and to provide travel opportunities for persons who may be interested in widening their knowledg of agriculture or the like.

Constitutional objectives

The Trustees shall hold such property, sums of money or investments or other assets of whatsoever nature whether heritable or moveable, which may at any time be paid or made over to the Trustees whether by gift, bequest, legacy, grant, subscription, covenant or otherwise and the investments and property from time to time representing the same together with the income thereof (all of which shall from time to time constitute the Trust Fund) and that in trust to pay or apply all or part of the Capital or Income of the Trust Fund to or for the following purposes:- (One) for the provision of bursaries, grants, travel awards and the like to any person or persons not over the age of Thirty who in the opinion of the Trustees would benefit therefrom, particularly in the field of agriculture or home economics. (Two) for the creation of travel opportunities at home or abroad for persons who may be interested in widening their knowledge of agriculture, horticulture, aboriculture or the like. IT BEING FURTHER DECLAHED that such awards shall be known as 'THE GREGOR AWARD'.
