02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide regular rehearsals throughout the year to help with the continuous development of musicians of varying standards and ages. We are a community band with no auditions although all members must be able to read music and have achieved basic proficiency on their instrument. Although we give two ticketed concerts each year in order to raise funds the majority of our concerts operate at a loss and are in line with our ethos to bring music to the community wherever that may be eg hospitals, care homes etc, or where we are asked to provide music for other organisations event.
