02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Charity promotes participation in, and the appreciation of, Scottish country dancing, highland dancing, and other form of dancing, by holding regular dancing evenings, by holding a two-yearly festival with foreign guests, and by participation in festivals abroad.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Society shall be to promote participation in, and the appreciation of, Scottish country dancing, highland dancing, and of any other form of dancing, whether Scottish, folk or otherwise. In particular and without prejudice to the foregoing generality, these objects shall include the organisation of and the promotion of attendance at folk or folk dance festivals whether in the U.K. or abroad.
