02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Tron produces and presents ambitious, contemporary theatre. Representing and reflecting the lives of people in Glasgow, Scotland and the world around us is critical to the work we make, present and support. We are a home for early to mid-career theatre makers, nurturing emerging, current, and future Scottish talent. We generate, nurture, and develop ideas, create and present ambitious, quality programmes, engage people in local communities and schools, exploring how our work impacts on the sector and our communities. We are a Strategic Space, co-designing projects with local and national partners with shared outcomes and implementing a collaborative process of evaluation and review. We take seriously our duty of care to the people we work with and support offering a Safe Space environment that nourishes and is open to new ideas and new practice.
