02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The objective is encouragement and development of Scientific Shooting at Long Ranges. The ultimate purpose of that object is the improvement of small-arms, ammunition and long range marksmanship in the interests of National Defence and the advancement of the armed forces. The Club is the body responsible for representing Scotland in Long Range Rifle Shooting, and in particular in the International Match for the Elcho Shield.
