02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We manage and maintain the historic Gifford Village Hall so that it can be used by many clubs, societies and individuals within the Gifford area. To help with costs (and keep hall hire charges as low as practicable) we also raise funds by running social events and seek grant funding where possible.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Association shall be: a) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Gifford Community Council area, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating with Local Authorities, Voluntary Associations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
