The purpose of the Association is set out in its constitution. This includes running the community hall and recreation grounds to promote the benefit of the residents of Saughtonhall through the provision of social, leisure and recreation facilities.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Association will be:- 1. To benefit the community of Saughtonhall and its environment by improving the quality of life and social cohesion of the residents of the Saughtonhall area through the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure, without distinction or discrimination on the grounds of age, sex, race, political, religious or other characteristic.. 2. To run the Community Hall and Recreation Grounds in furtherance of the above object.
