What the charity exists to do

This has required the preservation and restoration of heritage buildings, railway infrastructure and rolling stock, including steam locomotives, diesel locomotives, coaches and wagons for the purposes of demonstration to the public and to satisfy maintenance requirements. These activities have resulted in volunteering opportunities for all sections of the community as well as those with specialist interest in railway preservation, providing a safe space and promoting health and wellbeing.
