02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide transformational support for people ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need, when they need it and in a way which works best for them. We seek to change society by changing attitudes, fighting stigma and influencing government to ensure a better quality of life for those affected by mental illness.

Constitutional objectives
4(a)(1) The advancement of health in relation to the understanding of schizophrenia, and other severe and enduring mental illness and mental health problems, and by supporting, advising and assisting any individual whose mental health problems or mental illness has a serious impact on their lives and the lives of others, including their relatives, friends, supporters and carers, with a view to improving the individual's quality of life. 4(a)(2) The advancement of education into the nature of, causes, consequences and management of schizophrenia, and other severe and enduring mental illness and mental health problems, including the serious impact it can have on the life of the individual concerned and on the lives of others, including their relatives, friends, supporters and carers.
