02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The objects of the Society shall be as follows to be carried out by charitable means but not otherwise.(a) To promote public interest in Summerlee Heritage Trust through the activities of a group of Friends.(b) To assist Summerlee in the maintenance. extension and display of its collections.(c) To help develop the work of Summerlee Heritage Trust in the fields of education and leisure and to encourage its use as a cultural centre.(d> To obtain financial support from central and local government education author!ties, charitable trusts, the local business community and the general public. (e) To pursue these objects by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures. publications, voluntary work, appeals and the promotion of schemes of a charitable nature .
