02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Friends of Morningside Parish Church was set up over 30 years ago with the fallowing objectives: to help maintain the fabric of Morningside Parish Church, to promote an awareness of our Church's heritage, to strengthen worship in our Church and enhance the beauty of the building, The Friends are funded by a number of members who make annual donations to carry out the objectives of the organisation, The Friends are managed by a small Executive Committee who look to identify expenditure projects which meet our objectives. Recently, it has been the policy of the Friends to encourage music and praise in our Church through the expansion of our choir and the training of our choir scholars.

Constitutional objectives
OBJECTIVES The objectives of 'The Friends of Morningside Parish Church' are to raise funds by subscription and other appropriate means to provide supplementary resources for:- (i) The maintenance and improvement or development of the fabric of Morningside Parish Church, and precincts: (ii) The renewal and enhancement of furnishings and equipment in this building: (iii) The maintenance of worship in Morningside Parish Church: and (iv) Promotion of awareness of the heritage of Morningside Parish Church.
