What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to advance education and international development, both in Scotland and in partnership with charitable organisations overseas. It promotes global citizenship, social justice, and sustainable development through educational programmes, community engagement, partnerships, and advocacy. To company’s objects are: a) To assist in the relief of poverty and injustice in Scotland and worldwide, and to promote good environmental practice. b) To support and promote education and research into the extent and causes of poverty, injustice and environmental issues. c) To publicise the nature and extent of the problems of poverty, injustice and environmental harm. d) To promote active and engaged citizenship. e) To research the common challenges facing communities in Scotland and worldwide, and solutions available to them, and to help connect communities.
