Constitutional objectives

To promote the welfare of the elderly in the City of Dundee and it environs by assisting the work of the statutory authorities and voluntary organisations engaged in providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for physical and mental recreation 9 protecting and preserving. health both physical and mental,relieving poverty distress or sickness, or in pursuing any objects which now or hereafter may be 'deemed by law to be charitable. To promote and to organise co-operation in achievement of the above purposes and to that end to bring together representatives of the authorities and organisations engaged in the promotion of the 'above purposes or any of them within the City of Dundee and its environs To promote and carry out or to assist in promoting and carrying out surveys,relating to the needs or the elderly and to arrange for advising the proper authorities and organisations of the relevant facts of such case's and, causes of distress as are within the power of those authorities and organisations to alieviate'.
