02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
John Watson’s Trust awards grants for educational purposes to children and young people up to the age of 21 who have a physical or learning disability or are socially disadvantaged. Grants are available to both individuals and organisations working with eligible children and young people. The Trust supports activities such as school and youth trips, residential experiences, and educational training, but does not fund general running costs, staff salaries, or school trips at present. The Trust currently accepts applications for beneficiaries residing in Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian, and East Lothian
